My current phone service is with cricket wireless, there supposed $60 month unlimited plan. (Somehow there are additional charges at times?) ANYWAY, Part of my plan includes HBO/MAX.
I have not been able to use the app for a couple weeks now. EVERY TIME I LOG ON
IT open the app I am presented with a choice to 1. RENEW 2. SELECT MY PROVIDER
WELL, I CERTAINLY DO NOT INTEND TO PAY FOR SOMETHING THAT HAS BEEN INCLUDED UP TO THIS POINT.
I SELECT OPTION 2.
I SELECT CRICKET AND IT ADVISES TO GET A CODE. I SECURE THE CODE BUT WHEN I TRY TO OPEN THE PAGE TO ENTER IT THE APP TAKES ME TO THE SELECT PAGE OVER AND OVER AND OVER.
SOMETIME DURING MY 3 PHONE CALLS WHERE I COULD NEVER SECURE A HUMAN.
I HAD TO SELECT OPTIONS THAT DID NOT APPLY WHICH GOT ME NOWHERE.
CALL #1. ON HOLD 30 MINUTES AI SAID 11, PHONE CONVENIENTLY
DROPPED CALL
CALL # 2. ON HOLD 40 MINUTES FINALLY SELECT THE LIVE AGENT OPTION.
FIRST HE WANTS MY PIN, THEN WANTS TO KNOW IF I CAN LOG ONTO CRICKET APP. SO WHILE I AM TRYING. CALL IS DROPPED.
CANT GET INTO APP BECAUSE BLOODY AI MADE ME CHANGE MY PASSWORD AND NOW WONT ACCEPT IT.
CALL 3. GO THROUGH 10 MINUTES OF AUTOMATED AI CRAP FOR THE 3RD TIME.
WAIT IS 20 MINUTES.
18 MINUTES IN THE APP TELLS ME TO PRESS 1 TO CONFIRM TRANSFER!
I MEAN WHAT THE F.
I CANT GET OUT OF IT IT JUST KEEPS TELLING ME TO PRESS 1 TO CONFIRM THE TRANSFER FINALLY SAYS GOOD-BYE AND HANGS UP.
THE AI DID TELL ME I COULD GO TO THE CRICKET STORE FOR HELP.
PROBLEM TOTALLY UNRESOLVED
HAVE HAD THESE ISSUES BEFORE!
AND MY PHONE IS MY TELEVISION SO YOU HAVE MADE ME MISS 2 EPISODES OF "THE PIT"
PISSED BEYOND PISSED!
WHY DONT THEY JUST HAVE THE AI TELL PEOPLE TO GO TO THE STORE CAUSE FOR ME AFTER A 40 MINUTE DRIVE THERE I THINK I WILL LET THE LORD HANDLE THINGS! CAUSE IF I DO IM GOING TO JAIL!!!@@@#$$%%@@!

I purchased a new phone. The sales lady, Aliyah Davis, told me she was adding a charging cord and wall plug to my bag because the new phones don't come with them.
When I got to my vehicle, I realized that she charged me 30 dollars for a wall charger and 20 dollars for a power bank, neither of which I needed. So, I went back in to get a refund for the items and was told they don't refund accessories. I was told to come back the next day to speak to the manager, Jasmine Kindred. When I returned, she stated they don't do refunds for accessories and said she would speak to Aliyah about it.
So, their scam at this store seems to be telling you they are adding to your order and it won't cost you, but that's a blatant lie. They are selling you junk off the wall that no one would willingly buy, then they refuse to refund after the scam.
I will not send business to Morgan City LA Cricket. I do like Cricket, just not this store, which appears to be running scams.

I attempted to make a claim online, but the website instructed me to call multiple times. However, when I tried calling, my mobile number was not recognized.
I have been trying to file a claim since receiving my package.
The phone I received was slightly cracked upon delivery from UPS. This crack has now spread, naturally due to a small drop, and I can't get in touch with anyone for replacements or other assistance.
Preferred solution: Replacement I'll pickup

Cricket, you have always been unsatisfactory. I can't believe you're charging me $60 a month because I have MAX, and nobody even told me it came with MAX or offered to help me install it until recently. Initially, the person who sold me this phone and service had a two-SIM pocket in the phone and used the other one for their own personal use. Is that even possible? Yeah, I think it was. This continued until I took it back to the original place and reported there was a problem with my phone because I thought it was hacked as there was another number. At which point, she handed me a brand new phone, claiming it was her mistake. What do you think about that? Either way, you just texted me to tell me you tried to debit my account, to no avail, and there was no payment to be had on bill pay. Of course, there's no money in the bank, but you further told me there would be a $5 charge. This is ridiculous and stupid, since I was informed, when I asked about bill pay, that it wouldn't touch my account until tonight. Furthermore, you scheduled the withdrawal for February 2nd. So now I have three conflicting text messages from you. Thank you so much! You charge way too much; you have no customer service. Your automated system is infuriating with its drawn-out instructions until you press any button. I was on hold for 35 minutes, even though your system claimed it would only be 2 minutes for a phone call or to get someone on the line. Then, when I finally did get through, I couldn't understand the agent. I asked him which language he was speaking, but it was to no use. Then, I questioned him about the potential $30 discount for a connectivity program that he apparently didn't understand. I had to repeat it. Interestingly, he assumed I wanted a refund.
I was then told I couldn't change my plan, which is absurd. If I've paid for this phone, I should be able to determine what I opt for. But most of your representatives told me I can't change my plan. So, I'm going to sever ties with you altogether. I've taken to social media platforms like Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and made it known extensively to anyone I could reach not to use your service. I may even place it in the local newspaper. Yeah, they might not publish it, but whatever! It doesn't hurt to reach out to 4,862 people and tell them about your poor service.
He claimed there was no connectivity program; however, it was hard to tell, as he couldn't speak clear English. Please note that I'm not showing any prejudice here; I just didn't understand him at all. He promised to get a manager, but this led to another 45-minute wait until the line disconnected. Your service is horrendous. Since I got your service, I've told at least 128 people and another 200 through social media not to use it. A satisfying 78% agreed and opted for something different. Your pompous lack of customer service, extended waiting times, and exorbitant charges are unacceptable.
Your reliance on automated systems and computers to bypass real communication is shortsighted. Many websites criticize your brand, and you didn't instigate their creation. My primary reason for contacting anyone in the first place, besides all the aforementioned issues, was that I hadn't received 5G service for the month of January. Most of the time, the signal disappears, it reverts to 4G, or it's not available at all. Therefore, I don't think I should pay you $60 since it hasn't worked half the time and I never knew when it wouldn't. I don't believe I'll get a refund or even a coupon; probably not even a phone call. That's how uncaring and distasteful you are.

A manager named Alejandro actually called me directly . He apologized for the inconvenience that I could not get through.
He was sooo nice and took care of the lines right away AND let me keep my original number on top of it . He also cleared the fees that showed on my account.
He renewed my faith in Cricket . Thank You Alejandro and Cricket.
An actual manager called me named Alejandro . He was so so nice and helpful.
He didn’t hesitate to take care of the phones for me . You know I am going to say, I was kind of iffy at first after the issues but he restored my faith back in Cricket.
My other half has a family plan with 5 lines and they have been with Cricket for almost 6 years now. That’s why I came there and I am still HAPPY I chose and stayed with them
Then today, we called the 800 number and after 12 minutes, it was saying the same thing. Please, please help us. Last Thursday, I went to the Cricket app to purchase a Razr phone for Christmas. I went through the process and bought the phone and service, the whole package.
When I went to check out, it said I already had an account to sign in, which I did. The cart showed the phone as 99.99, service as 60.00, and activation as free (online). When purchasing the phone, I selected 'new number' so we could get the deal. I didn't want it tied to the other phone I had which is (727)317-****.
It is showing online that both numbers are tied to each other and I didn't want that. Can you please fix it for me? Cancel the (727)317-**** number and just have the new phone number on there by itself. I'm not even sure why it combined the accounts without any verification from me or a confirmation of some sort.

Oh I forgot to tell you it shows a balance due for the 9847 # of $25 dollars which confused me because if it was for a full month of service Should it not have been for $60 if it was for the up coming month. Now its $35 but still.
So that raises another question why $25 and if you knew it was a switch lines why am I being charged money when I paid ALL of it up front?? Thank youuu for your time one more time hehe

I've only ever used Cricket and am unaware of other companies business practices.
Pay with a card using their automated system over the phone? Extra $5. They literally charge you a fee to give them money. Buy a phone in the store?
$25 activation fee. Already have their service and buy a new phone from them? $25 device upgrade fee. They also make it intentionally difficult to contact them when you need assistance and actively discourage interaction with their customers.
There are no live chat agents or an email available.
Go to a store during business hours and try your luck with there being a competent employee working that day or call the outsourced customer assistance number and try to communicate effectively, despite the language barrier. I don't understand how charging people a fee to pay their bill is legal.

Our son passed away 03-03-25. He has a Verizon phone.
Additionally, we see a charge from Cricket. He is being charged $40+ each month.
We need to cancel the Cricket account. There are no telephone numbers for Cricket that allow us to speak to a human.
Just another greedy corporation providing unaaceptable customer support after initial sale.
